Management

Meerut College is a Grant–in-aid College affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. It is recognized by University Grants Commission, New Delhi under section 2f and 12(b). The College is managed by Meerut College Managing Committee. Sh. Dayanand Gupta and Sh. Arvind Nath Seth are President and Hony. Secretary of Board of Management respectively.

Sh. Dayanand Gupta

Sh. Dayanand Gupta has been awarded “Entrepreneur Award” from President of India. He has a deep rooted desire to ensure impartment of quality education. He has an active participation in management of educational institutions and holds the chair of President of Meerut College, Meerut, D.N. Polytechnic and is Hony. Secretary of D.N. College, Meerut and Ismiel National Girls College, Meerut.

He received degree of electrical engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is Chairman of a number of Industries viz. Navbhart Tissue Ltd, Chamunda Paper Mills, Ganesh Cold Storage and General Mills Pvt. Ltd, and Educational institutions - Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Gautam Budha Nagar.

He also takes keen interest in political activities of U.P. State Govt. He has been treasurer U.P. Congress Committee (I) Lucknow from 1900- 1999 and was President District Panchyat Meerut (State Minister level) 2000- 2005. He presently holds the position of the Vice President, Rashtriya Lok Dal since 2006.

Sh. Arvind Nath Seth

Sh. Arvind Nath Seth is a leading businessman of Western Uttar Pradesh with varied business interests. Impressed by his leadership qualities and progressive attitude, industrialists of this region has elected him as Director, Western U.P. Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Meerut. He is an almuni of Meerut College and was Speaker of Meerut College Students' Union during 1967-68. He has been Tennis Champion of Agra and Meerut Universities. His distinguised sports achievements earned him membership of the National Sports Club of India, New Delhi.

Shri Seth is devoted to the cause of education. He is member of the Executive Committees of several educational institutions. He has the honour of being elected for the second term as Hony. Secretary of Meerut College Management Committee. He has been a key factor in making Meerut College a prime and leading institution of the country. Staff members and students of Meerut College are greatly benefitted by his vibrant personality and positive attitude.
